Motocross
THE Port Lincoln Motorcycle Club held round two of the club’s Natural Terrain Motocross series on Sunday on Fowler’s property at Big Swamp in near perfect motocross conditions.
Over 90 entrants competed in 10 separate classes, from the 50cc demonstration, women, pit bike, trail bike, veterans and five motocross classes.
The riders enjoyed tearing up a brand new, freshly designed, loamy track, which seemed to get better as the day went on.
All races boasted large fields that were full of tight, dirt throwing action for the large spectator crowd to enjoy.
It was great to see a lot of first time competitors entering and out on the track enjoying themselves.
A special thank you must go out to the property owners, St John’s, canteen staff and officials for their great help in getting this event organised.
Round three of the Natural Terrain series will be held just north of Tumby Bay on Sunday, July 27, so it will be great to see all motorcycle enthusiasts there.
Round three of the South Australian Motocross State titles will be held at the Kimba Motorcycle Club on Saturday, July 12 and 13.
The club wishes local riders representing Port Lincoln Motorcycle Club the very best of luck for that, in which they will be competing against some of Australia’s and all of South Australia’s fastest motocross riders.
