Janice Wait and Julie-Anne Fitzgerald won the A grade title when Tumby Bay hosted 50 golfers from all over Eyre Peninsula to compete in the Eyre Peninsula Foursomes last Thursday.

It was a considerably fine day for golf with a small shower late in the afternoon.

With A and B graders looking forward to 27 holes at the picturesque Tumby course, with C grade to follow with a standard 18, it was a quick coffee and catch-up before hit off.

There was much laughter and chatter on course which then filtered into the clubrooms after the final putt.

With presentations made and more laughter had, everyone had a safe drive home.

While the golf was being played there were a few busy workers including Christine Calderwood, Thelma Bryant and Maisie Lebrun making sure that when the time came in for lunch the soup was hot, sandwiches made and cakes wrapped.
